where to find tranny mounts and is it easy to install??

Default where to find tranny mounts and is it easy to install??

well i have some play on 1st and 2nd and when i down shift.
i want to change the tranny mount asap before something worst happens.

{1.8t 5spd}

You need 2, one left one right. I run a Stern for the left and an 034 for the right. Some say the Stern is too stiff and adds too much vibration. I like mine and the vibes arent bad...more noticeable with the a/c on. You should upgrade the motor mounts as well; esp the snub or else it will vibe like a mf er goin into 1st.

Install is straightforward, took bout 30 mins for me to do both and Stern inlcudes instructions if you need them.

Right now Stern is doing their road testing of their new transmission mount which will work on the passenger side of the 1.8t and both sides for the 2.8/2.7t.

Well if you are going to make more substanially more power in the future (bt) then you should upgrade to either the Stern or 034 mounts. If not then new stock mounts will be just fine.

Not sure if there's a diy but all you need to do it put up the car on jackstands, support the tranny with a jack and replace one mount at a time-done. Some say to let the car idle for a minute before you torque the bolts down.
