Default where is the heater control valve!!??

where is this valve? i dont think mine is working right. very little coolant is flowing through the core. even after having the heat on full blast, and driving for 30 min. i have a 96 a4 2.8L

you mean your thermostat? if the car is staying cold, your thermostat can be stuck open. what milage are you at? i know on the 30vavles the thermostat is hidden behind the timing belt. if you are very careful the thermostat can be changed without removing the belt, but you must have a steady hand

is there enough coolant in your system? and does the gauge take more than 5 minutes to reach optimal temperature?

coolant is fine. i bled the system tonight, and all the hoses are now getting hot (upper and lower radiator and both core hoses) and the car reaches operating temp within a few minutes. i have a climate control out of an 01, in my 96. according to another thread on another forum, there is no way this will function correctly. anyone agree with this? and couldnt that be the issue here?
