no fault codes? white smoke is coolant/water and only on start up ( do you have a coolant leak? ) any engine/driving problems?

excess BLUE smoke = turbo and you would have fault codes, cats create water and will throw white smoke out that's normal but no fault codes isn't ( not enough info on the problem )?

its not at start up. only when its been sitting for over a minute. the car is driving fine. the only other thing i noticed was at low rpm's it kinda gives of this really throaty sound from the front of the car that was not there before. but it might just be an exhaust leak. it will usually smoke for a bit and then stop for a while. some one just tell me the procedures i need to take to figure it out. i will have to check my codes i already have a cel from tp so not sure.

If you know someone with a sniffer they can check your hydro-carbon level from your coolant fill tank. If not the next best thing would be a combustion leak tester. Pretty simple, you fill a tube up with the liquid and place it over the coolant fill hole and give the bulb a few pumps. If the liquid or dye changes color then your head is probably leaking. Here is a link for one on ebay. But from what your saying it's during start up then it's most likely just condensation in the exhuast pipes.

if you can check your coolant overflow, if it looks like coffee could be blown head gasked or a cracked head, has your car ever overheated?
