Default Who has a Bently manual, Haynes, Elsa?

Anyone have a shop manual that tells how to remove the gas tank on a fwd A4?

I've lost my Bently cd, and Elsawin was lost 2 OS reinstalls ago.

I thought I bookmarked the online version somewhere but couldn't find it.

I think hiwords was the one who showed it to me. Maybe he'll chime in.

Just looked through my hard drive, i've got a 49 page PDF about the fuel system, but it doesn't really cover step by step how to remove the gas tank, just the important info looks like. Still want it?

Thanks for looking. Is there not a diagram of the fuel tank and it's connections?

If there is a diagram of the fuel tank and it's connections, that would work too. It doesn't have to be instructions. Thanks.

Sure thing man. Rather than upload the whole 50 page pdf someplace i just took a screen shot of the diagram:
Name: NewBitmapImage.jpg
Views: 1092
Size: 48.1 KB
And the accompanying notes:

1.Return line from engine
-Mark before removing
-Note direction of arrow on connecting flange
2. 20Nm
3. Fuel Filter; arrow points in flow direction
4. Holding clamp for fuel filter
5. Supply line to fuel filter
-Mark before removing
-Note direction of arrow on connecting flange
6. Mounting screw
-25Nm
7. Washer
8. Overflow hose
9. Rubber cap
10. Locking ring
11. Sealing ring-replace if damaged
12. Cover
13. Ground connection
-Connect wiring terminal with mounting screw (item 6)
-After installing, check continuity between metal ring on filler neck and bare chassis ground point. Spec: approx 0 (zero) ohms.
14. Bleed line to EVAP canister
15. Fuel tank
16. 25Nm
17. Bracket for clamp bands
18. Clamp bands - note different lengths and install direction

Also when i was reading through this I ended up finding the tank removal/installation instructions. They're pretty long with more diagrams if you want me to actually upload those someplace for ya. Hope this helps!
