Default Widening Fenders, some nasty wheels and a lot of "bad ideas"

Folks...

As I got totally tired of my crap wheels I´ve started thinking about installing a Brazilian Stock car wheel set in my B5. The only problem? 18" and 10" wide with some agressive offset (to be found. these wheels are not for sale, only for racing so is some sort of hard to find some info). these wheels are big and I´ll have to make some room. I do not wish, at all, a ricer look in a german car, and I love euro style modz.

So... my problem is that here in brazil there are no ready-to-buy wide body kit to B5, there all custom made. And buying somewhere else and shipping it to rio is not cheap, the freight is hell high. I´m a engineer, so I want to build the freaking thing. I was wondering about buiding it using fiber glass, maybe some kevlar or carbon fiber... do you guys have any tip? tutorial "how to wide body your car". I´ve read and watched some material, but you guys are experts when it comes to B5s.

Take some side shots. It doesn't look like the ET is too crazy.

Maybe run some hella stretched tires to make them fit and decent amount of negative camber.

Anyway, if you're looking to widebody - check out A4_2.8tuner older thread. He pulled his fenders to create the widebody look and he also did a full write up through out the build. All he used was a fender roller I believe.

Edit: Here's the thread to his build: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/b5-...-works-124375/

excelent thread! thanks a lot! I´ve talking to suppliers and it seems finding those wheels would be a major pain in the ***, and in the end would cost as same as a BBS set... I´d rather going BBS.

True, but BBS has been done before (which equals to finding a car with the same setup).

Not finding a car with the same wheels is the upside I see going with those wheels.

Fender rolling works to an extent. To go for the squared-off look that a lot of factory cars have, you'll have to weld in a section or two. Same goes if you want an aggressive wide-body.
