Default window regulator recall?

I had my 4th window regulator go out in my car, and its on a window that ive already replaced it with a new one...

i was wondering if there was a recall for this? cuz its pretty stinking ridiculous...

im happy that i got the window back up and that its stayed up, but i don't know how long that will last

I have had a similar problem with my 05 A4. I replaced the drivers and now the passengers is going out at 48,000 miles.

Do you have a lot of drag on your windows when they ago up/down? Might want to spray some lube around/inside the window trim/frame on your door. Too much drag could fry a regulator i guess, but it would really have to be a lot drag.

it would make a squeaky sound, thats about all i know. the regulator still works, its moving, but im afraid the plastic wheel has broke but the wire is still barely connected. thats my guess as to whats going on. once it stops staying up ill then learn what happened.

i was just seeing if there was/wasn't a recall for this.

I've never heard of a recall for that, let alone for much anything else. AOA never wants to take the blame for anything. It's pretty easy to take off the door panel. A couple screws on the side and one behind the inside door lever I think and it pops off.
