I have a 2000 A4 Quattro. Since I bought it (2+ years ago) I noticed a strange sound on the driver's window. A few months ago it finally stopped working.
About a month ago I took it to my mechanic and we noticed that the pulley (see yellow circle in attached image) was broken, so the cable was out of place.
I've looked at other threads and I noticed a lot of people has had problems with the guides, but I don't think that's my problem.
I also believe there is no problem with the motor. (I didn't notice the window glass out of place due to worn out guides, the motor can still move the window, I just haven't played with it since I don't want to risk it and have a window that won't go back up. Cable looked good, too)

Has anyone had similar problems? If so, where could I get this part that I need? Do I need to buy the whole kit?
