Wipers, HID and other issues..?
Hey guys,
I've got my car back from the mechanic because my rear bearings were due.
The issue now is..
My car has some wired things going on..
First; the left hid light is working but not the right (though the bulb seems just fine). Also, sometimes when I turn on the headlights, Not even the left one is working? I've checked the wiring, anything that could give me a clue, yet im clueless.. Also, when I push the handle up to turn the headlights, once or twice I saw some of the indicator board lights turn on randomly for a split second (e.g. trunk open light, oil light, etc)..
Second; the second I touch the wipers stick to activate them, they work none-stop. They change a little bit in terms of speed when I move the stick up (but not as usual, the fastest mode doesn't even go that fast).. and if I press down for it to work only twice.. they never stop. I have to literally stop the car to get them to stop..
All this started when I got my car back from the mechanic.
The only thing I remember is when I got the car back, the lights weren't working so I went back and I told him that.. He touched the cables that were powering my HIDS (connected directly to the battery) and they restarted working. He managed to make them work by removing the black cables touching the battery and replugging them while the car was set to "On", but the same night none of them were working once I went for a ride 4 hours later.
I'm really pissed and clueless right now. I've checked the fuses and everything seems fine.. any advice!!?

I'm really pissed..
but it's hard to directly blame him because he is going to say "I fixed your rear-bearings, nothing to do with electronic components". -_-'
Arrrr, I'm soooo pissed now.. I'm afraid to turn on the wipers now! How embarrassing is that when you've got friends in your car!! and it's lightly drizzling and their like "dude, turn on the wipers at least once just to clear the view.."

hey bro. I think i would try looking at the switchgear. i can see how frustrating that can be. Maybe your wiper switch is sticking, even though the it way flow easily from off to pulse to intermitten to fast. Also, usually in wiper system wiring there almost always a relay involved with a built in timer, thats how they are able to be intermitten. As far as the HID's, look at your ballasts. If all the wiring is good and the fuses, you ballast will be the next culprit..........
another note: im not sure if you have a vag-com, but something tells me that you can go into the computer and check out the wiper system too.....im waiting on my cord to get here so I can start fiddling with it and check it out with my laptop.....hop i helped some what!!
