So I jump started my car, but what puzzles me is that I didnt leave on any light or anything. It just died in the morning, and before it was always running fine. I noticed after I turn my car off, I hear this faint whining noise coming from the left side of the engine bay. Any suggestions? Also do I need a new battery?

 

The only way to test your battery is to charge it up and have a discharge load test done on it. How old is the battery? You can typically get 5 or 6 years out of most batteries. I live in a harsh winter climate so I change my battery every 6 years no matter what.

getting throttle body realigned is a headache. this can happen from battery dying and jump start. not to scare you
