Default Worn out shocks and springs???

Hey guys,
So i got my B5 about....a month and a half ago and have been putting in numerous hours of labor. i noticed more or so today that my passenger side of the car is raised about1.5" more then the driver, more or so the front suspension. Could this be to sagging springs or worn out shocks , any idea's?

Shocks are most likely blown, springs should be ok unless they are broken. However springs are cheap and can be replaced for around $100 so best to change them also if you are not sure.

when i dropped in my coilovers i was surprised to see my back springs broken on both sides. I would incpect them closely but odds are its time for new suspension

I would take a good look at the springs , for they are responsible for vehicle ride height more than any other component. Shocks & struts assist in height but there primary function is dampening.
