Default WTF?!?! Car will not boost past 5psi...

My car has been running fairly decent for a bit considering I still have the shitastic 3 prong coils but just recently it will not boost past 5 psi. The funny thing is that it is not misfiring. It has the AWE Giac setup with K04 015 and the PC16 upgrade. It has been running at 16psi but its most definitely not anymore. I drove it home from work yesterday and it was fine. Went to a dr. appt and its not fine but not really running bad or anything, just not boosting up like it should or has been.

Any CEL? Sounds like limp mode to me.

Yeah its had them though. For misfire but its not misfiring anymore. Il reset them in the morning. I was wondering if the giac would reset itself? My battery starts everytime but it cranks real slow for about 10 times then fires up. It resets my trip odometer everytime. The other day it was really bad.

bad battery.... wont cause limp mode tho. How do you know its not misfiring anymore? If you have to clear codes for a misfire your misfiring.

It's weird because now it's doing it sometimes and sometimes it is fine. I'm going to resolve the misfire issue this weekend with a set of newer push in coils thanks to ecs tuning.

You can tell when the car misfires. It has no go what so ever. Especially on hills. I have to shift to get it in a better rpm range. I don't have to shift at all, it will not go past 6psi.

Did you re-gap your plugs when you started running the PC-16 file? How old are they?

I am using the Bosch twin platinum that came with the kit. Mileage is unknown but I tried using some autolite platinum and gapped to .028" and they were worse. It does misfire like a bitch in 3rd and 4th when low in the rpm and you mash the gas and boosts correctly. However when it runs at 5-6psi it does not miss at all.

I'm fairly confident that the 2.0t coils is going to fix the problem. Run them at .040.

i had a very similar issue, my car started misfiring at 10lbs, should of been peaking 21 with my GIAC tune and ko3s. replaced plugs and coils. misfires stopped, no CEL but couldnt go past 10. few days later, only 6lbs. ended up being my wastegate not fully closing anymore. maybe same issue with you

so i just picked up a franken setup yesterday to replace it.
