Yellow brake light on lcd
I'm trying to fix all the problems one by one on my 2000 A4 =)
I have this yellow brake light on my center lcd when I step on the brake for the first time. I'm not sure what causes this. Could it be because I have an aftermarket brake switch or does that even matter?
What should I be checking for???

I turn on the car, lcd says okay. I step on my brake and the lcd says "brake light" with one beep. The warning stays on through my entire trip until I turn off the car. And the cycle repeats. Its rather odd. I would imagine its the brake switch, but I replaced it.
Might be a dumb question, but could the brake switch not being OEM trigger that?

The bulbs in the taillight housing are all double filament. The weird thing is that there are two missing bulbs on the top, so there is one bulb that is for the brake light (should two bulbs be powering it). When I screw in a bulb in the top, it does nothing on both taillights.
All the taillights do work though.
@McGovs: The lcd displays the text "brake light". Brake pads should be good as I changed them a month ago.
@CCA4: The switch that is under the brake pedal to signal the brake light to go on. The missing bulbs seems interesting though. Do I need new taillights?
