Are YOU familiar with a bag of turtles??
Salutations friends! I have returned after a short hiatus. I trust in the magic of online community of forums that I can be pointed in the correct direction.
I recently purchased a 1999 Audi B5 A4 1.8T with 217,000 miles on it last weekend. After driving it for a week, I've started to notice something troubling.
The first day I had it, I put 250 miles on it all highway just to put some wind in my hair, so to speak. A kind of coming home drive. I love my car. Anyway, after my trek, Monday morning on my way to work I noticed some heavy power loss. I didn't really try to push any power through it on my road trip as I was just kinda cruising, but on my way to work, I was traveling up a not very steep hill in 4th and it felt like there was nothing under my foot. So, Monday after work, I picked up a set of copper Bosch spark plugs 7955 and installed them. The plugs I took out looked horrendous with almost all electrodes gone. I was pretty amazed that the car even started and idled with how bad they were. Hoping this solved my issue, I drove to work Tuesday with the same result. So tonight, frustrated and after digging into these posts, I am respectfully asking for assistance. Here is what I have done so far and what I have:
1999 B5 A4 1.8T 217,000 miles
Checked for vacuum leaks/missing hoses
Cleaned throttle body using CRC Throttle body and intake spray cleaner
Replaced air filter
Changed to copper Bosch 7955 gapped at .032
Cleaned MAF sensor using CRC Mass Air flow sensor spray cleaner
I currently do not have any "idiot" or CEL on. The only light and possible question I have is the ABS light is on and the brake light indicator flashes.
Any of your expertise and knowledge is very much appreciated. Thanks for stoppin by!

It dried from about an hour. The cleaning basically did nothing. I still have the same problem. I'm thinking it's probably going to be a spark plug boot and or coils. I am going to try that this morning.
I used some silicone fusion tape to wrap the hose and seal the hole. Finally have boost. Ordered a boost gauge because I'm sure there is still a leak somewhere. Anyone have a hose brand they like or have good luck with for turbo to intercooler?
