ok... so im in the market for hid's... i want to go with DDM because i have heard good results from these guys...

SO which do you guys recommend? and why?

 

from what ive heard the 55w bulbs are just tinted halogen, HIDs use a ballast which lets them run at 35w. i have teh 4300k and theyre really good, your probably going for that sportier look so the 6000k is perfect it has a light blue hue but still has great light output. you will probably need a projecter lens to take full advantage of the HIDs.

 

With The DDM kit how would i hook it up to my aftermarket projectors. The car came with Halogen bulbs not HID. I ordered An 55W 8k HID kit from them and have no idea how it plugs in?

 

im about to order some replacements off DDM, the pricing is legit

 

5000k ddm 35w. perfect white

 

im goin to order some soon as well!
will go with 55w just not sure if 5000k or 6000k...

I've been wondering about this for awhile as well. I was hoping for a pure white with a little blue in it. Something to set me apart. Should I go 55 or 35 and what temperature?

 

yeah same here. i dont wanna sacrifice light output over color. i just want a light blue tint to it!
i've searched everywhere about 55w colors and i guess 5000K is pure white and 6000K is wat i want... (white with a light blue in it!)

 

So what is recognized as best for HIDs? 55w or 35w? What about fogs? I was planning on running some yellow HID fogs.

 

well some ppl argue that 55w is too bright and will actually blind ppl, while others say it doesnt even make a difference it just draws about 60% more pwr!
IMO (not from personal experience... yet) 55w is better/brighter, but you'll probably have to aim ur headlights a lil lower and it does tend to whiten out the light!!

and for the fogs im planning on just gettin some 2500K halogen bulbs!
lighting isnt usually a problem where i live and HID's should be enough anyways!
