i just got the free trial yesterday for my car and so far i like ...lost of torqe, but i ve got one problem ... my check engine light came on i called the guy from four season tunning the place i got it done he said that he can scan it for me but i shoudl have nothing to do with the file... am i fucked here?
also i keep hearing that with this chip some people spike at 22psi others 18 and maintane at 16. but the guy at FST told me that it shoudl give me about 2-3 more psi. whos right here?
i mean after my light came on i dont really know if this guy is that reliable

 

have you replaced your coils? I was talking to the guy at Redmond European about the APR chip and the first thing he asked was if I had changed the coils out

 

no i dident... what would that do with anything?

but anyway i found out what the problem was. i had a vacum leak. i guess the extra boost helped brake and already weak and dry rotted check valve
i went to audi today to get a new one but conveniently they dont sell just the valve they sell the grape sized plasticvalve with the rubber hoses wich uped the price to a generous $76.58

 

What valve? the check in valve? One of mine broke after i got the free trial and i just replaced the whole piece with a regular tube.
Maybe you misunderstood the guy, but usually it spikes at about 21 and holds around 17-18.

 

im not sure what the valve is called exactally but its by the back of the motor and a regular tube wouldent work its a one way valve, air cant come back... and about the psi i told him that ppl on thi forum have said that i would spike over 20 psi and he looked at me as if i were an idiot and said no you would only get about 2-3 more psi from this softwear

 

He's an idiot. Get a boost gauge and you'll see the difference. We go from 8-9psi stock to holding at 18psi chipped

 

ive been meaning to get a bosst gauge...i just hope he dident **** up my car turnes out that valve wasent the problem because its still not running right
