**new engine help**
Hey guys!
I'm a guy who knows nothing about how to fix cars and knows the very very very basics about engines.
Here is the situation:
I took my car into Audi and they looked at it.
It was sounding like it wanted to die when I was at stop lights and such. Ideling weird, and sputtering.
They determined that it was a "ruptured PCV valve in the intake"
They said on the phone that it was "letting dust, and any other gunk into my engine"
I want to know if this is true - AND if that would be able to cause my oil to get full of "gunk" and plug my filter and starve my engine of oil to then cause me to have to replace it. Because that's what has happened...
ANY insight and/or help would really help me out here...

yes they looked at the oil AFTER I had driven off the lot and the dirty oil destroyed my engine. They Audi tech said it was okay when I got the PVC valve fixed, but then when I drove home the engine got destroyed due to lack of oil. When I asked the tech if he checked the oil upon check in he said it was fine.
The techs at Audi said 10,000 miles on full synthetic is okay to do. So I drove about 5k on one oil change and BAM this happens.
I'm trying to determine if there is any link between me driving with a broken PCV and the engine/oil getting filled with gunk. It just doesn't make any sense.
Does this make sense to any of you?
Any insight would be amazing
