03 a4 quattro stage 2 clutch replacement
Hey there. So my husband is pretty car savvy, but neither of us know if he's up to replacing the clutch! He's looking for a stage 2 clutch, and if we do take it to a shop, it would be the local dealership that charges $110 an hour. I'm ok with paying for labor, but I have no idea how long roughly it takes?
Also, any recommendations on replacing the clutch? Ok to do it yourself? Not a good idea? Where have you ordered your parts from?
To be honest, the whole thing scares me a little because we got the car with 150,000 miles on it and we have NO idea when or even if it's ever been replaced. It feels like my older Corolla that I had when it shifts. They both caught with the clutch closer to the floor, if that makes sense. My Suzuki is the exact opposite, but again I don't know if that's the difference of design or not!
Sorry for the somewhat silly questions, I'm trying to learn Thanks!
