Default 04 a4 cabrio antenna problem

I am having a problem with my radio cutting in and out periodically. I have checked the wiring in the trunk lid and there is no obvious break in the antenna coax. I have tried to test for continuity with my meter and when I touch the inside lead I get sound (that makes me think that the plug on the end of the coax is not making a good connection) rather than an actual break somewhere in the cable itself). Anyone have any suggestions?

Angry Same Problem A4 Cab 2004

Repaired the broken very thin cable by splicing and crimping but getting intermittent reception. I haven't actually traced the cable I repaired back to the
booster/amp on the trunk lid but I can't believe that Audi designed this wiring harness like this What a Cluster ****. Extremely poor ENGINEERING for a company that is suppose to be superior in the automobile industry. You've got to be kidding me. I'm a electronic systems engineer and have a hard time believing that they will not take the responsibility for screwing this wiring scheme up! I just hope that the engineer that designed this is gone to work for someone else!!!
