'05 Audi A4 1.8T Ipod
I have searched around and read the threads here, but it seems that I have a different Audi Symphony stereo than most of the people posting here. Most of the mods I see are for the stereo that takes up the 2 slots and have a multi-CD changer. What I haven't seen or heard much of is the single din Audi symphony sound system. I would just like to start a thread for the users who have the same problem as me. Apparently it is $1k to setup my a4 as iPod ready with Audi dealer parts(quote from the Audi dealer near me).
The setup I've mostly heard talked about:

The setup I have:

They are not my photos but the setup of my situation picture is correct, the stereo is identicle to my car's setup.
I do not even have a cassette player for a easy iPod aux port.
I was just wondering if its possible to easily add iPod connectivity, or if i need to go for an after market stereo to fix this problem. I am looking for one with a USB connect that will display the songs and such, so I can stow the iPod in my glove compartment. Although I've just heard you can the iPod to work with connectors in the back but it wont display with track name or artist. It is called the DICE connector, which sounds like a viable option. I'm just open to all options as the FM transmitter I currently have has ruined the sound quality and I listen to the radio rather than deal with the bad quality.
Thanks for any help.

I had the same problem when I bought my 04 A4. If you go to www.mp3carpros.com they have the ipod interface that charges and controls your ipod from your headset. its only like $130 and super easy to install. All you will need to have are the stereo headset removal tools.
