Yeah the V8 s4 twin turbo worked is deff a freakin beast but i dont think its neccessary you can get good power and save some gas w the v6.. & it just sucks because s4's are pretty expensive lol like i was gunna sell the 1.8 for 11k but i think thats sellin it cheap cuz the kellybluebook said in fair condition its worth 12 and the 1.8is prettty much in mint condition and 02 s4's w like 120k miles go for like 8-9 grand and i wouldnt wanna start doing work to a car w that many miles already on it.

Actually nvm there not 8-9 grand there like 7k for an 2000-02 w/ 120k miles but the only thing is there not easy to find theres not too many on craigslist w/ lower miles, whats the highest amount of miles youd buy a car w/?

Prices vary significantly depending on your location and who you take it to. I've heard of independents being as low as $700 and dealerships being $1300 or more. I paid just under $1000 for mine at an independent who specializes in VW/Audi and Porsche. If you're capable of doing it yourself, you can save a ton, as a large part of the cost is labor; it's several hours of work due to the fact that you have to basically take apart the whole front of the car to do it. If you can't do it yourself, my advice would be to look around for an independent mechanic who you can trust to do it right.
