The radio and the lights in the dash also shorted out during this time period. But I don't see how a connection is possible there.
looks like ur central convience module is on its way out. either that or it could the the fuse for the interior lights.

Well according to the shop the timing belt is shredded. I didn't get as much details as I would like because their busy but they said something about a pulley or cam seizing. They did a leak down test and it's likely the valves and possibly pistons are damage. I have a few picks that I will try and post later...it only has 13k on the timing belt and water pump but the shop that did it said they only do warranties up to 10k miles.

o I decided I am going to have the shop pull the heads off. Hopefully the pistons are not damage and the only thing require rebuild is the heads. Can any give me an estimate of the cost of rebuilding a 3.0 heads?

I don't know what the cost of a rebuilt is but based on the fact its an 03 with 106k, I have to feel sorry for you cause well the car definitely had a lot of miles left in it and given how much time you have kept in the shop you have to keep in mind how much the car is actually worth and what the car is actually worth. You really got screwed on that timing belt job obviously someone really messed up. Good luck and hopefully it all works out.

Well the shop decided they don't want to pull the heads because it will cost too much and they don't believe it's worth rebuilding the engine due to the level of difficulty in breaking the engine down... he said something along the lines of breaking bolts and the engine having glass cylinder walls....They estimated between 8k-10k for a rebuild, which is not an option for me. They also quoted me $2800 for a remove and replace of the engine if I bought one to them; I saw a few on ebay for 2k-4k. Also the manager of the shop that did the timing belt is on vocation so I am at a stand still with them trying to get it warrantied.... Right now I feel like selling the car for 5k to anyone willling to take on a project. I would like other people opinions on this, the car is in very good condition other than a broken engine.

sounds like your shop is lazy. U can get a working audi for 5k. U should just part it out. Probably get closer to 5k like that.

Well I decided I will put my mechanical skills to work and pull the engine my self, if the pistons are good I will rebuild the heads..If not, then I will go from there....
