Default 2003 Audi A4 Alarm Problem How to disconnect

I have an 03 Audi 3.0 with an alarm problem. The alarm when I lock the doors and set the alarm will beep once and then keep beeping for about 120 seconds. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes the alarm beep is so quite you cant even hear it. Pushing the buttons again to lock or unlock the car does nothing, putting the key in the lock does nothing, starting the car does nothing when the beeps keep going off. You just have to wait until the beeping quits. I reset the alarm by putting the key in the door and turned it back and forth twice. I read on another forum that the alarm siren itself has a battery in it. Its VERY hard to change. I’m looking for a quick DIY on this. Can I just pull a fuse? Use a VAG to turn the alarm off all together? Can I just unplug it back by the siren? The car itself has a pretty new battery. Thanks

The battery was fried in the alarm itself. I disconnected it. The alarm was in the trunk on the right side.

Default Same Alarm Problem Here

Hey, I seem to have had similar alarm problems. Sometimes when I lock doors with the remote, the alarm keeps sounding. I can lock and unlock a few times - sometimes the alarm shuts off.

Did you just disconnect the wire to the alarm? Do you know anything about replacing the battery in the alarm?

Thanks for your help!

the alarm is located on the passenger side behind the liner in the trunk. If u can get the liner out on the passenger side where the cubby is the alarm sits right down in there.

Default Alarm not loud enough

Any pictures or updates on this alarm issue? My alarm works just fine except I can barely hear it. I see you mention a battery that needs replacement. A part number would be appreciated. Thanks all!

How do you disconnect alarm in an Audi A4 wagon? It's a 2003 - I unplugged what appeared to be a battery in the back trunk/hatchback area behind a panel on the right back side of the car…is that the right spot?

I have the same issue on a 2003 B6. Corrosion on the board is beyond repair. I have ordered a new unit from the stealership. My question is this... I have removed the unit and the alarm is still going off - the lights are still flashing all night - on and off. Is this what usually happens? Do I have an additional problem

Is there any way of just bypassing the unit and not having any alarm or chirp on lock?

Many thanks,
