Exclamation 2004 3.0 Couple of issues...

1) Oil sludge. I just changed the oil and noticed some sludge around the filler cap and dip stick. I know the 1.8 have engine siezing issues but is this an issue for a 3.0 as well?

2) Break wear indicator. It's telling me I need new breaks, changed the rears but the fronts still have plenty of meat on them. Is there a way to reset this warning?

3) Turn signal bulb. I want to replace a burnt out bulb in the passenger side headlight. 2 screws on top, is there more to pull out the whole assembly?

Thanks in advance!
Vince

1) For the oil sludge. It is same issue for every car if no regular oil-change is maintened.
My friend who is an experienced BMW technicans for 18 years, he saw some cars with interval 4kmi oil-change with 30k milage on it, he took the valve cover out, the engine's still spotless so clean no sign of sludge. He also saw a lot of cars that didn't do oil change on a scheduled timing or do it at a longer interval with moderate sludges. The only way to defend for sludge is to do more frequent oil-change.

2) B6 does NOT have brake warning on rear brakes. ONLY FRONTS!!
(No brake-worn-out sensor on rear brakes) If your front still ahve plenty, the brake wear indicator shoudl't light up unless something other than wear out.

3) To pull out the whole headlight assembly, there're total 4 screws in each side.
two on the top, the other two you'll hav to see it with some flashlight. it is located at the back of the headlight assembly.
