I'm looking to buy my first Audi and I was looking at an 04 s4 4.2 but it was sold before I had a chance to really check it out. I'm looking at an 04 Audi 1.8T with what looks like S-trim on it and 18s and manuel trans. How are the 1.8Ts?

Hw much did that 4.2 sold for? I've seen some for sale but most of them have 90-100k miles or over. I'm not sure how good those twin turbo v-6 are though but 1.8 and 2.0 have been around for a while and are real good from what i've seen

 

The 1.8T is a really good base for tuning, that's about it, the more you tune it and upgrade it the more parts you have to upgrade to avoid breakage.

 

I myself been trying to decide my options. if i go with an audi then quattro for sure. also thinking baout volvo s40 T-5 or VW 2006 passatt 2.0. I think I will get more room out of the passatt but not as smooth ride as the audi but it would be cheaper

 

46k on it and I think it sold for around 19k

 

thats a lil high for a 1.8t S package. For a lil more u can grab a s4 same year and have recaros v8 and navi plus apperance packages.
