Anyway,
Could one of you kind folks help me out? I am looking to buy a 2006 A4 1.8t ragtop. The car has a bad TCM and I would just like to know for sure where it is in this car. I have seen them listed as being in the trans, under passenger seat and under/behind the cowl. Which is it on this one?
I do have another really dumb question.....how does vw/Audi designate their cars as in B7 Mkiv ect? Now when you guys get done laughin at that one lemme know where I can find that dang TCM please. I just want to know exactly how much work this one is going to take if I buy it. I have done quite a bit of digging as far as getting the tcm repaired ect. The car is in fantastic shape other than the module. Current owner can't fix it and refuses to pay dealer price to fix it (don't blame him on that one).
