a4 2004 Judder, Shake at start off
Hi! I'm new to the forum and I just got this car 3 weeks ago
Audi A4 2.4 TDI SE Automatic Diesel Multitronic 2004 with 86k on the record.
Car was doing good until the second week I noticed that there is a slight judder/shake when the car moves from a stand still until it reaches 10-15mph/1,000rpm specially if I push the gas pedal down quickly. Car had a full service before I bought it but not from a main Audi Dealer. According to the history, cam belt was changed at 50k and it was serviced by an Audi dealer until 55K.
I drop by a guy who have a computer vag (or whatever you call it) and it detected a Load signal fault message from ecu sporadic in the Multitronic. ABS/ESP brake light switch-f open circuit sporadic load signal fault message from ecu sporadic. Then he cleared all the fault, reset the ecu. He told me to come back after 4 days after driving my car for a few more miles to check again if the fault comes back.
My worry is, could it be the transmission/gearbox that needs replacement?
And if they replace it, how long/miles will it take again to break down? Will transmission fluid replacement cure it? Could it be the ECU???!!! (Nightmare). It still got a warranty for 2 more weeks and I need help from you guys to sort this out :-(
