Hey -

Anybody else experience a very noisy "squeaking" serpentine belt? It has always been a chronic noise issue...I'm the original owner of the car and I've never been able to get it resolved. Not even threw the warranty at the dealership. Any ideas or remedy's?

maybe the belt tensioner. ask the dealership to check it after a cold start.

 

OK - I will give it a try..I was thinking it could even possibly be a pulley making the noise. But its pretty hard to tell. Pretty annoying!

 

spray the belt with brake cleaner as its running. If it goes away you need a belt. if it doesn't you need a tensioner

 

How many miles?

 

just had my 75,000 mile tune-up.

 

Did that include the timing belt and water pump? If it didn't you need to put that on your to do list withing then next 5k miles along with the serpentine belt and tensioner.
