ok so my cousin is in the market to buy a car, and hes looking at the 05-06 jetta. now i tried convincing him into a b6 a4, but he thinks my opinion is biased. so let me know what you guys think is better. try to give me as unbiased facts as possible. thanks.

well in times like these now, in ny n jersey, yes he does. and he personally likes the jetta look better. i disagree.

 

Women like Audis more...seriously. B6 is larger. Audi is made in Germany. Jettas are nice cars. I almost bought a Jetta and now I don't know what I was thinking bc I'm so happy with the Audi.

Show him this. He'll probably decide to buy neither but at least he won't get the VW

Well having a B6 A4 AND a Jetta... You could talk to me or my wife and we will both tell you the Audi. Yah same engines and overall quality technically but the Audi has definitely more leg room front and back. We have had several problems with the Jetta and pretty much nothing with the Audi. Granted the VW has a little bit more miles... But I think the overall is the looks. You know how many looks we get in the Jetta?.... None... How many in the Audi?.... Pretty much everyone...

 

I have a 03 Jetta and a 04 A4 - my A4 is an ultra sport 3.0 and my Jetta is a 2.0, so there is a large performance difference. But I have had a 04 1.8t and this is my 2 cents:

Jetta - More economical (especially 2.0), great urban vehicle, solid car, but tiny back seats and 2 wheel drive.

Audi - Larger vehicle-better on highway (my a4 has 6 speed vs. jetta 5), decent back seats, huge trunk and more comfortable interior.

If you need a good, reliable commuter go with the Jetta - if you want a great all purpose, all weather vehicle go with the A4. Both my cars have been amazing - reliable, comfortable best cars ever so you cant go wrong with either one.
