So today there was this jetta 1.8t that blew by me on the parkway, low and behold he exited at the same exit I did, so we just messed around for a few lights until we got to a straight road, I couldnt believe it but I actually beat him with no real problems, I had several car lengths on him by the time we reached 80-90. I honestly couldnt believe my two point late could do such a thing ;]

 

that happened to me about a month ago, those things aren't as fast as they say. I have a 2.8 a4. it seems like after 60mph we start lossign them

yeah but his 2.8 is probably at least a 30vnot a 12v. I had a 12v and it couldn't get out of it's own way. I wish there more aftermarket for the 12v but at least yours is in a lighter A4, mine was in a heavy 100/A6 body but I did at least have a 5-speed. I wish I would have kept that car, had 18's, tints, a nice stereo system, but my friend made me a good deal on it so I sold it.

I have a friend with an 03 Jetta 1.8t auto and he thinks he can whoop my 2 cars. An S4 and a supercharged thunderbird w/ intake, exhaust, shift kit, underdrives, intercooler fan, smaller blower pulley...I wonder if my wifes Z24 Cavalier could whoop the Jetta.

And the Z24 and Jetta would prolly be a good run. I'd say drivers' race honestly.
