I recently bought an 03 a4 1.8 and it had the airbag light on the dealer ran a scan on the car and said it was a module not responding. i replaced the module with a supposed new module i got off ebay. put it in and i took it to the dealer to get flashed and they said the same thing the airbag module is not responding it is not recognizing that there is a new one there. if anyone has any ideas that would help cause i dont want to keep paying the dealer 125.00 everytime i think i might have fixed it.

 

they charge you $125 to *scan* it?

First of all your next step should be to buy a handheld scanner and approx. one dozen eggs. The scanner you would have paid for by yourself, the eggs, well, I'll split 'em with ya, 6 presents for your stealership, 6 for mine...
