I was researching tires and I couldn't decide if I want all weather tires of the summer tires (for a 2004 1.8T). Has anybody had both in their car and noticed a big difference?

I was in between these two:

I do have another set of rims for the winter, but it is mostly not to mess up the original rims. There are summer tires right now (the original continentals) but I just bought the car. Does anybody has any input?
I was also thinking about chiping it soon.
