is any paint ok for blacking grille?
Short answer, yes. Long answer, no.
You'll want to find a durable, outdoor or better yetautomotive paint. Then you'll want to makesure to prep the area sanding it with a 500 or so grit sand paper to ensure a good stick.
You don't need to find a high heat paint, I don't think.

many people on www.audizine.com have used plasti dip with great success, seems (as with anything else) good prep is essential to making it stick
good prep is key. i use SEM trim black for a flat black. Napa also sells a black trim paint that I used with great success, it self leveled itself. i used a heat gun lightly over it to dry quickly. I did this on my lincoln and it is still good after 2 years.
