does that rubber paint or whatever everyone uses to black out their grille really just peal off if u wanna go back to chrome..if so does that mean its cheap and not good?

 

That rubber paint is called dip-it, and i don't know if it just peels off, but i just did my grill and the rear rings and it seems to hold up pretty good, so far, i haven't heard of anybody complaining about it though. supposedly it's very durable

 

I painted the grille on my B5 and in a few months it started coming off. It didn't peel it just wore through in some spots so I think if you wanted to you could take the rest off with lacquer.
