I'm not trying to argue with u, no no no, i would be happy if u do something crazy to your cvt, BUT u better do more research online, cause just an OIL wouldnt do much.

Yeah I was still pretty skeptical about it myself. However from my research I've been discovering that the Traction Fluid (specially designed **** for CVT's is the weakest link in the chain
I found an upgraded fluid for any CVT'ers who may be interested and found some really interesting information(below). That santotrac fluid is over $200.00 gal though.

If you want to understand why the lubrication is the so important and how the CVT link chain works check out:

I have to say that I'm pretty satisfied with how the car performs as it is and going 1+ would ultimately be it for me anyhow. The efficiency of the CVT allows me to not have to compete for miliseconds just by torque and hp alone. Not only without Quattro do I have the advantage of less torque loss due to the Quattro system, there's also no shifting none (my engine stays @ optimum rev range for the entire time foot is down on throttle) to chew up time whatsoever. I can have less power and still get to point b quicker than the tip-tronics or the manuals...

dam i really hope this fluid can actually do that... i would love 2 have my car pushin more than 300... i use to have a o5 sti but crashed it an on that ride after my mods i was pushin 303 awhp an that seemed fast as hell ran mid 12's constant but i would much rather have a clean smooth luxury car that can jus catch up when merging on the hwy. an also not let a POS srt4 smoke me or a mazda3 spd....

350-400 ft/lbs of torque . Check the first post in my thread https://www.audiforums.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=118736 to find out how I found out. As another AF members sig states "torque is what you feel hp is what you read about" as far as the Mazda 3 it's really not a competition, the srt-4, don't even worry about it man it'll be easy. just today 3 stoplights in a row (before he turned off) made him look silly and I'm not even 1+ yet also my best friend with his '08 3.5 Maxima knows how quick our cars can be. I think most guys would be very, very surprised at the acceleration that the FWD w/ CVT is capable of, it really is a very quick car with just the basic mods I have done. Mod for mod the CVT is a quicker (much quicker) than it's counterpart with a tip-tronic or a manual. The main concern is the threshold (which as it turns out, can be increased) of the CVT and I've been discovering that the way the CVT performs it's job and how efficiently it does it, it definitely gives it a strong advantage for 0-60 and 1/4 mile times so you don't actually need to compete head to head with the raw power the others may be producing. Also the FWD is considerably lighter than a Quattro and a FWD w/ CVT is lighter still than a FWD w/ tip-tronic. An advantage of the FWD w/CVT over a FWD w/manual is that the engine stays in the optimum rev range the entire time you are on the throttle and there is no lost time due to shifting(doesn't matter how quicky a person or a device can shift, nothings quicker or faster than no shifting at all) so there you have it. The CVT is also extremely efficient I remember something like 94% efficient for power transfer. Thus more power is available for accelerating and not spent on dragging around another 100-200 lbs (we all know quickness comes in the power to weight ratio...right?) of dead weight(yep I said it) due to Quattro. The Quattro's also lose torque through the Quattro system so mod for mod the FWD has an advantage there as well. As for putting that power to the pavement I have very good tires and I have no issues with regards to "hooking up".

I started these threads to get some serious conversation and input on the CVT's there hasn't been much out there to date and thought this would be a benefit to those who have a frontrak w/CVT. I hope that it has helped those who do, and maybe helped enlighten some of the misinformed. I think that's what these forums should be accomplishing. Just my thoughts on it...
To conclude this thread (i hope...geezus its been a battle almost) I LOVE the way my car looks and performs. You see, I like my car and that is ultimately whats important to me...not what anyone else thinks of it. Thanks to everyone who had legitimate input and legitimate questions you guys have helped me to become more knowledgeable and I hope to return the courtesy.

krystallblueA4's outta here!! Peace.

Hey 4what, welcome to the forums you'll find tons of good info about your car on this site and probably most of the basic questions you may initially have, have already been covered numerous times at length so please search the threads to possibly find the answers you are trying to attain. Please check out the new member welcome area https://www.audiforums.com/forum/new-member-welcome-area-4/, and the link in my sig. With all mods I've come to believe that the "best" mods for your car are the ones you have researched and are most comfortable with. As far as what chip to get research the companies and you will find what you are looking for.
