I have an Audi A4 1.8T and every time I put it in (D) Drive or (R) Reverse it makes this strong vibration that I feel in the whole car. As soon as I accelerate the vibration stops and if I put the gear in (N) Neutral, it stops the vibration.

Can somebody tell me what it might be???????

is it CVT? Quattro? If its just a quattro I'd scan it for codes if possible, if not, just check the air filter, spark plugs and coil packs, alos look for a vacuum leak.

CVT is the Front wheel drive version of audi, is a bad transmission and it breaks often. However the symptoms you describe up there do not sound like a transmission problem. I incline towards a vaccuum leak

Yeah, its a Front Wheel Drive audi, its a new one tho. I bought this car 8 months a go and it had the transmission changed before I bought it because the first owner of the car broke it. When they first changed the transmission, the new "used" transmission had 15k miles. Not much for a 2003!

I will definitely check if it is a vacuum leak.

It might not be the transmission because I don't feel the vibration on the steering wheel at all.

vibration or studder? Check for cracks in vac lines and your check valves in the lines that tend to deteriate (bad spelling) over time.

could it be the transmission mount?

I have the same problem as you explained. Did you fixed the problem in your car. I have a 1999 car.
