How hard is it to swap and automaic to a manual in a b6 a4?? will the transmissions line up? what do i have to do and get to make it happen..money is not a problem i just wanna know what i have to do

 

Not sure what will and won't fit, but presuming your car is otherwise stock, it's probably a LOT easier to just sell it and buy a manual trans car instead. If you're just looking to do it to see if it can be done, well, good luck and more power to you.

 

I agree with olstyn. Even if it were easy, it's not worth the expense. Even if it were cheap, it's not worth the headache. Although I have not done it before, I can assure you it will not be cheap, or easy. I have, however, owned both an automatic and a manual Audi A4 B6. I was content with the automatic (especially when sitting in traffic), but I did occasionally miss driving manual (I have owned nine cars total in my life--seven of them being manual, and two being automatic). A rear end collision put an end to the automatic A4 (I was sitting at a red-light when a careless driver sandwiched me in between herself and the SUV in front of me). I now drive a manual Audi A4 B6, and I do like it a lot better; personal preference. I would either be happy with what you have, or sell it and buy one with manual transmission. It doesn't really hurt to save time, and save money.

 

I know a few B5 and VW owners that have done this, ends up costing them around $2500 for all the parts. You can make a big chuck of that back by selling the tip transmission.
