Default Automatic self-locking

I would like to enable the feature where the doors automatically lock when you start driving without having to go to the dealer. I know that this can be done using a vag-com but does anyone know the steps, like which module to enter, etc. etc.?

Explained on the Ross-Tech site

Just add 32 to the central convenience code, but you should read it first, you might want to put the windows up/down with the remote while you are at it.

can the doors be unlocked as well when you take the key out of the ignition?

That is part of the auto lock code, doors lock at ~ 10 mph and unlock when you take the key out.

Just tried with Vag-com version 311.2n and 301.1 with my 02 B6 3.0 Quattro.

I set the software recoding on "46 Centr. Conv." section from 11788 into 11820 ( +32 for auto lock -> 11788 + 32 = 11820 )

also set the adaption channel 62 's windows open/down with remote function. (software coding from 11788 into 11782 ( -4 for enabling adaption channel 62's function -> 11788 - 4 = 11782 )

both functions are now working perfectly.

I like the auto locking function, especially when I take the key out, it automatially unlocks for me.

I took my car to the dealer recently and requested that they program this in. Unfortunately, they replied that my car wouldn't accept the codes. Did anyone ever run into this issue with their VAG-COM?

I suspect the dealer does not know what they are doing.

Question on VAG-COM, since I know nothing about it (I tried to read up on it after seeing it in this thread a couple hours ago)...

Will it work if I re-program it and then flash my ECU to APR Stage 1+? would it still be compatible? Which should I do first?I would love to add the activate windows with remote, try to get the fogs-with-no-headlights (but I'll have to have DRLs so its iffy... I like to be able to pull into a driveway and shut all lights off, cause, uhh... nevermind why haha), and the lock doors at speed, but I also want to chip the car. Also I will be having stock and 93 octane profiles from APR, if that matters...

My REVO program did not change the vag-com changes I made. It is really simple to get your own vag-com, ebay cable for ~$20 and free software from RossTech.
