Bad news....
So, I went to my friends house, we had a party, so I had someone sober drive me home, left the Audi there for the night in the driveway. I left them the key, so in case they needed to move it they could, by they I mean my friend who drives an M3, so I didn't think it would be a problem. Two of the girls he lives with needed to leave the next morning, but my car was blocking them in. They find the key and try to move my car, but it has a manual transmission. They "kind of" know how to drive it, they try anyways. They couldn't get the emergency brake off so they figured the handle "just didn't go down", and apparently didn't care that the car was screaming at them in form of an on board computer, which was blaring "E BRAKE ON!!!" They grind the gears, burn the clutch, and with the e brake on they drive a block down the street where they pull into a parking lot after it started smoking and a really bad smell filled the air. They tried to move it again, but they couldn't get it to go anywhere, apparently it was stuck. They called to ask what they were doing wrong, I just started crying. I drove down to their house and found my car dead in the center of a parking lot just sitting there.
So... what do you think the damage is? I can't get the smell of burning brake and clutch out of my car.... and now I have a great rumble when applying the gas lightly. Also, why do you think they couldn't start my car again after all of this happened? I could start when I got there. I think it just hated their souls.

Wow, HOLY **** wow. I know this is old, but this is the danger of leaving your keys somewhere. I would be so pissed if that was my car, I probably would have kicked the **** out of whoever I handed my keys off to, and made them pay for it. Good luck in court, that's where I'd be...
OK question for you..... are they super hot???? Just curious because it's usually the super hot chicks that have the nerve to take someone elses keys and try to drive a car that they know they SHOULDN'T, and drive it with the e-brake on halfway down the street. Don;t mean to generalize but I've seen it before. Smokin hot girls who get away with everything and think they can do anything. I bet they'll try to get out of it by just batting their eyelashes.
I say nailem to the wall with any and all charges you can come up with. That is F*CKING STUPID of them to do and for their blatant disregard for YOUR property, they should pay.

Yeah and everyone else looks at you like *you* are the ******* for yelling at these obviously innocent girls who have done nothing wrong except maybe a teeny tiny little mistake. I think we've all been there before, except I'm stuck dating one, lol I paid my entry fee (to the tune of $4875 for new clutch and transmission housing after she atomic-bombed the already aging clutch)...
Still, if I wasn't dating her seriously, there would have been issues, but as Pablo said, she started batting those damn eyelashes....

LOL.... see here's the thing, I work with kids that range in age from 4 to 20 and yes there are some pretty hot girls in the classes I teach. Don't get me wrong, I'm not attracted to them but I can sure as hell tell the hots ones from the uhh, how you say, "not so hot" ones. The classes I teach are all about indoor climbing and rope safety and since it gives them a chance to learn how to climb and belay themselves, there is a strict set of rules I expect the kids to follow. Low and behold when the hot girls break the rules, they simply bat their eyelashes and EXPECT to be let off with a warning or something. I've see it every year and every year, I still kick them out of the class. It does teach them one valuable lesson though; You can't sway everything to your benefit with your looks. I like teaching them this tough lesson because it motivates them to use their less talented resource which is to actually pay attention and respect the rules.
Pablo, where do you work?
I work (well, less and less lately, but I did for 5 years) at Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center in Rutland, VT. We do indoor climbing and the such, as well as outdoor rock/ice climbing, camping, biking, paddling, flyfishing, etc. Thats all under the guise of Vermont Adventure Tours though, same business though. We also do teambuilding and other things of that nature.
Haha and I definitely been there before, difference being that I volunteered/worked there since I was 15, so the cute 16-18yos got away with a little bit more, but not much, I was still pretty harsh if they were endangering anyone. Now that I'm 21, I find myself being much more harsh, but the 22-25yo college climbers are starting to get away with more and more lately
