Did you end up replacing the battery cable and did it fix the problem? I'm having the same exact problem...

 

Probably not going to get a response from the OP. But, I had a similar situation that turned out to be a short in the radio. Decided the location of the cup holder combined with a cassette type ipod adapter that was not inserted is a bad combination after spilling some water from an open cup that hit the cassette and went into the radio. Battery drain started a couple days later. I diagnosed by removing one fuse at a time from non critical electrical components.

 

Hi i have had this issue this week before breaking up for christmas i had a new battery as have been moticing battwry drain the day after the battery was replaced with new i was driving and had the battery and abs lights flashing at me qhile driving then going off again every so often i have been able to jump the car and still drive it but i have been told possible auxillary belt tensioner but the belt is going fine not had chance to test anything but wondering if anyonw can help as now when i lock the car it beeps probably becaus of the low battery but what possibilities could this be other that the alternator or tensioner

 

took it to a shop and they told me the battery Speed Test cable was bad....they replaced it and I also bought a new battery all problem went away....that was two years ago.
