Brake light sticking...
Search didn't turn up with much. For the past week or so, people have been saying my brake light has been on when the car is parked. Last night, I saw it for the first time, after the car had been parked for several hours. I tapped the brake and it went off.
Any ideas of why this is doing that? Solutions? Doesn't seem like a hard problem to fix.

Its Def the brake light switch, very easy to change.
1: Pop the side panel of the dash off(where the fuse board is) with a flat head screwdriver.
2: There are two bolts here holdong the bottom section of the dash up...Take these out.
3: Now take out the two bolts in the bottom panel down near the steering wheel....the panel just pops out now.
4: There should be two switches one for the clutch and one for the brake..Just follow the brake pedal to see which one is which.
5:Twist out the old one and disconnect.
6: Now push the new one in and twist it...dont move the brake pedal while doing this...you must hear two clicks...this is the switch setting itself.
7:now recconect the switch and put all the panels back.
8: when your putting the panels back make sure to pop the diagnostic port back into the panel it usually falls out without noticing.

Hi All
I have the same problem and my Cruise Control is not working at all.
I have been told that the Brake light sensor causes this.
Is it true that after the Brake Light switch is changed, the VAG-Com needs to reset the Cruise Control system, as it was locked when the faulty switch was detected?
