Default Brake Pads

Hello. Does anyone out there have a recommendation for brake pad replacements? I need to replace the pads on my A4 and need some suggestions. Thanks.

Well, if you're trying to reduce brake dust, DON'T go with Mintex Redbox. That is what I have now, and it only takes about 1 day of light driving for my wheels to have a nice coat of dust on them.

Ok, thanks for the heads-up. Any suggestions for what I should go with?

I have Hawk HPS Street pads. I got them from Tire Rack for ~150, and I got them installed from a mechanic in my area for ~150. They are very nice, I feel like the stopping is significantly better than with the stock setup. However, know two things, 1) that there is some noise associated with hard stops, and 2) there is some brake dust - but not much more than I remember with the OEM setup.

The stock pads bite just about as good as any aftermarket pads out there, people just think the "new" pads are better because well, the're new! Use OEM pads if you want them to work correctly, ceramics suck in just about every way except for reduced brake dust. Personally i would take brake dust on my wheels over running into the back of an 18 wheeler because my stopping distance has increased.
Semi metallics are ok.
