A/C only works when engine is cold
Didn't realize this when I bought it, since I got it in late November, but apparently my car has a problem with the compressor only kicking on when the motor is cold. Once it gets warmed up, compressor kicks off and it blows 120° air out my vents. Hooked up my a/c gauges and I'm certain the compressor kicked off. Jumpered the pressure switches (I think they're both on the compressor where the lines are) and still nada. On my controls I can't get the damn ECON light to turn off. Heard of other cars having this issue and it was something to do with a thermostat switch under the hood... any ideas guys? Hot weather comes real f*****g early in Houston.

Hi, sounds like the engine ecu is intervening and turning off the ac compressor. This will happen if for example the engine is (or thinks it is) overheating, to reduce the load on the engine. Ideally you need the ac panel mvb read with a compatible scanner. There is a compressor shut off criteria mvb which will reveal why the compressor is turned off.
Don't know what a mvb is, let alone one on the a/c panel. Which a/c panel do you mean? And if this is the case, what sensor would I be looking for that could be going bad? I have a feeling we're thinking of the same thing...
By ac panel I mean the actual heater controls in the car. This unit is an ecu and will store faults. An mvb is a "measured Value Block" which gives info about the ac control components. Like I mentioned, one of these mvb will tell you exactly why the ac compressor is switched off at the moment, but you need someone with a compatible scanner who knows what they are doing. Otherwise it's a guessing game.
