cambelt change on a 2002 2.4 v6

Default cambelt change on a 2002 2.4 v6

The front end is already off thought it be best to do the cambelt where can i get a workshop manual for doing a cambelt change as i know you have to have locking pins any ideas

Here again, assuming the 2.4 is a smaller sibling of the 2.8 liter motor, then there are two different tool for "locking" the rotational assemblies. The first is a crankshaft locking pin which is screwed in through the side of the block on the lower left side of the engine block behind the oil filter. The second tool is one which holds the orientation of the cam assemblies in place while the cam sprockets are "pulled" forward a few millimeters off the exhaust cams (allowing them to rotate freely) and once again when the sprockets are retorqued back on after the new belt is in place.
