Can I get K04 turbo from eBay ?
K04 Turbo is $299 on eBaywhereas the K04 upgrade kit at APR is$1799 (without Injectors, and an additional $699 ECU flash for new customers)
From APR website:
Our kit includes the K04 turbo, the compressor inlet O-ring, three turbo to downpipe studs, one manifold to turbo gasket, four Bosch fuel injectors, and one turbo to cat gasket
Did anyone upgrade to a K04 turbo themselfs without going the KIT method from APR ?

pretty sure it's suggested not to get important parts off ebay..

I agree; however, the store that am purchasing the item from is VW/Audi/Porsche Parts distributor here in town and provides warranty with parts.
Concern is: Did anyone did it without the help of the KIT ?

well if you want k04's for a good price, check the engine parts forums on this website, there are a few ppl selling k04's right now so if you are quick enough you might be able to get your mits on them
