So my car died on me the other day. I believe I need a new battery. I also need to get a 60k tune up, and I know for sure that I have a coolant leak (hopefully just a busted hose). Does anyone know how much will all this cost at the dealer? I don't know any shops around here and do not want to get ripped off.

 

Battery is like 300.00
60k is just a glorified oil change. usually 100.00

And the coolant leak isn't a hose.
Coolant flange, the nipple, or the rhino plug is the most common depending on what engine you have

You're better off changing the battery on your own. It will run you about 150 from a local parts store and takes about 10 minutes to change.

 

umm 60k means he needs a timing belt!!!! which cost like $1200=$1800 at the dealer

regular mecanic is like $600=$800

 

Depends if he has 1.8T or 3.0 :P The price will be more for the timing belt change if he has 3.0.
