Can you please tell me if this is a good deal? (2003 A4, 96k, 8G, minor accident)
Hi Guys,
I'm looking to buy my first Audi (and really looking forward to it), currently looking at B6's in the $6-9k range.
I was hoping if someone could tell me whether this 2003 A4 which has 96k miles, 18" RS4 replica rims, and Tien springs is a good deal at 8k or a little more:
2003 Audi A4
My only concern is that it was in a minor accident (driver-side door) back in 2006, and I'm planning on selling whichever car I get around a year from now.
Thank you.

Well, the Edmunds price probably doesn't take into account the wheels or the suspension work, and of course having the T-belt done only 4K miles ago means you won't have to do it for at least 65K miles. Almost new tires is worth something too, assuming they're tires you like. I'd take the Edmunds price and add in whatever you personally value the wheels, tires & suspension stuff at to get a "real" value.

The ad has been taken down, so I was not able to see the car. However, if you are planning on selling the car in about a year, you should probably get one that would be the easiest to sell. Surely a great deal would be in your favor regardless; but in terms of reselling it, whatever flaws allowed you to get that great deal will still be in the vehicles history when it comes time to sell it, and by then it will more than likely only have decreased in value even more (increased mileage, etc.).
I recently sold my 2004 Subaru WRX STi (to buy my 2005 Audi A4), and with a salvage title, it was very difficult to sell. The car's title was clean when I purchased it, but I later discovered (through Carfax and Autocheck) that it had a salvage title at one point due to it being "abandoned," yet it had no theft or accident reports. Needless to say, when potential buyers ran a Carfax, they became disinterested very quickly, and I received many low offers before finally managing to sell it for bluebook value (luckily).
So, not that yours has a salvage title, or even a reconstruced title, but any accident history (even minor) throws up a red flag to any potential buyers. When they hear "accident," their mood suddenly changes. 'Just something to think about.
