I removed the battery and the keyfob to do a DIY carbon fibre wrap around the key today. When i put it back together it would not work on my car (2004 a4 b6). Normally when taking the keyfob appart i would just put the key in the car ignition and play about with it and it would work again. This time though i have had no luck. I replaced the battery just incase but still no joy.


Pressing the open car button and then putting the key in the driver side door, turning it left and then right, does not work.

Inserting the key into the ignition and setting it into the on position then pressing the open button, or pressing the open and close button, does not work.

Inserting the key into the ignition and starting the car then turning it off 4 times, does not work.

I have tried loads but nothing seems to work. I have only 1 key also so some of the reset instructions are no good. Can anyone else suggest anything?
