I just bought my first car and to top it off it was and audi 2002 1.8t.
i have had it for only a week and already the check engine light came on.
just wanted to know what where the problems many of you encountered when it came on and what you guys did to fix it.

 

CEL means alot of things
u need to get the ECu scammed for codes

 

Have autozone scan it for free and post the code.

My CEL was on the day I bought the car, but mine is under warranty still. Turned out to be the cat converter which was 100% covered under warranty for 8 years/80k miles.
