Ive got a 04 1.8t quattro thinking about getting the ecu upgrade. Currently has downpipe techtonics to borla mufflers, v-flow intake. Been thinking about the apr stage 1+ with new injectors. Do i need to udgrade the dv withthe new software also??Can you do the ecu upgrade yourself with little mechanical skills, if not does anyone know of any good shops around Eugene, Oregon??? thanks Dustin

 

You dont need a new dv, but you will eventually. THe ecu is something you just get flashed by a dealer. To find a shop, go to APR, GIAC, REVO, or Unitronics and look for a dealer closest to you

 

Im in portland. You need to get out to beaverton and go to either hillside imports or futrell, they specialize in nothing but this type of stuff for audis and v dubs. or you can go downtown portland and go to matrix, that place is prob the best in oregon... I have revo stage one, and it felt pretty good for awhile now im used too it, i upgraded my dv to a forge 007 to withhold the 16-17 psi of boost, you def should get a new dv when you flash...

 

i would go at least 1+, you can join audizine and PM a guy named manguyen, he sells the same bosch OEM tt225 injectors apr sells for a lot less.... 1+ will give you a lot more torque..( i spike 23lbs and hold 20)

you will need a new DV at some point, OEM 710n, forge 007 are all good choices...
