chip, Arp

I want to get the most power out of my stock 2003 audi a4 1.8t for under $500.
Would the best thing to do is get a APR stage 1?

An APR or GIAC chip will yield the most hp gain. You should replace the diverter valve and throttle body boot (assuming the 1.8T has them, like the 2.7T does) with heavy duty versions.
